All locations in just one map.
By air
The airports of both Amsterdam and Rotterdam have good connections with the town Delft. Travel times from both airports to Delft by public transport are approximately 45-60 minutes. Travel times by taxi are around 15 minutes from Rotterdam airport and 40 minutes from Amsterdam airport.
Public transport from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
From the Amsterdam airport railway station, take the intercity train in the direction of Vlissingen at .15 or .45 and change in Den Haag HS for the intercity to station Delft (located close to the Best Western convention hotel and other hotels) or the slow train to Delft-Zuid (located at approximately 1 km from the convention location).
Alternatively, take the slow train leaving at .21 or .51 from the airport railway station to Leiden Centraal and change there for a train to Delft.
Public transport from Rotterdam Airport
From Rotterdam Airport, take bus 33 (four times an hour at .05, .20, .35 and .50) to Rotterdam central station and get on the train to either Delft Zuid (at approximately 1 km from the convention location) or Delft (located close to the Best Western convention hotel and other hotels).
Alternatively, you can take bus 33 from the airport, ask the driver to drop you off after just a few minutes at busstop ‘De Lugt’ (better write that down…) and from there take bus 129 to Delft (calling at that busstop at .13 and .43 after the hour). Busstop ‘Kluyverweg’ in Delft is right in front of the convention location.
From Delft railway station to the EMC7
On Friday and Saturday Connexxion-bus 129, direction Rotterdam leaves at .28 and .58 from the railway station and stops in front of the EMC7 location (busstop ‘Kluyverweg’)
From Delft railway station to the EMC7 by taxi
Alternatively, you can take the Regiotaxi. This hybrid between taxi and public transport will cost you € 3,50, it will drop you off in front of the EMC7 location, but you may have to share your taxi with other people with different destinations and you have to reserve an hour in advance at 0900-9666.
From Delft-Zuid railway station to the EMC7
From the station’s platform, climb the stairs and turn left on the bycycle road. Follow that road that runs over a viaduct, more or less parallel to the main road. 150 metres after you‘ve crossed a canal (Schie) take the path down, turn left and go underneath the bridge (Rotterdamse weg). After 350 metres the Kluyverweg and the building or Aerospace Engineering are on your left.
By train from abroad
From any direction, travel first to Rotterdam Centraal. From there trains leave for station Delft-Zuid (at approximately 1 km from the convention location) twice per hour or for station Delft (close to the Best Western convention hotel and other hotels) eight times per hour.
By car
A13 in the direction of The Hague (Den Haag) take exit 10 (Delft-Zuid/TU), a ramp leading up to a flyover/roundabout.
-
On the ramp keep here the second lane from the left before the traffic lights.
-
This lane turns ¾ around the roundabout on top.
-
Directly after you have left the roundabout you need to take the exit on the right hand side of this road down. (That is why we recommended this lane on the ramp)
-
At the end of the ramp down, turn left onto the Mekelweg drive under the road you just left, and follow the road turning right after about 50 meters. Now drive straight (crossing a street once) until you notice a parking lot behind a high rise.
You have arrived at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering.
